Pastor Lucas McSurley

Nearly every flat surface in my home is covered with scratches of paper. The notes are filled with provoking questions and sermon ideas. This blog may simply serve to declutter those tabletops, a way to organize my publications. I imagine it may also serve as a therapeutic outlet, but who knows? I haven’t quite figured where it’s headed. For now, I simply enjoy writing. Ideally, some folks may find my words filled with both quandary and encouragement helpful. And in case you’re curious, here’s a brief bio…

I am currently serving the good people at Lamb of God Lutheran Episcopal Church (Fort Myers, FL). I received my M.Div from Capital University at Trinity Lutheran Seminary in 2018 (Columbus, OH). While in Seminary, I served at Lord of Life Lutheran Church (West Chester, OH). I received my undergraduate degree from Wittenberg University in 2014 (Springfield, OH). I strive to live-out my passion for the Social Gospel while building meaningful relationships with as wide-ranging characters and personalities as I can find. For fun, you may spot me at the local pub, sporting event, or catching the latest movie fad.
